Image from http://bit.ly/1i0vyPg

Mr. Rafael M. Alunan III served in the cabinet of President Fidel Ramos as Secretary of the Interior and Local Government and in the cabinet of President Corazon Aquino as Secretary of Tourism, respectively.

He is actively posting as a netizen and his commentary on the events unfolding after the onslaught of Typhoon Yolanda (International Codename: Haiyan) are worth sharing if only to open the minds of those who are concerned.

One commentary of Mr Alunan is reposted below:

So much air time is being spent talking about looting by people that are so desperate for food and water just so they can survive to live one day more. I'd like to equalize that by reproducing the names of the thieves that stole the people's money including Yolanda's victims who do not deserve mercy. May God and man forgive the thieves in Tacloban fighting for their families to stay alive.

The plunder complaints were based on a fact-finding investigation conducted by the NBI. Documentary evidence included Commission on Audit (COA) reports showing how questionable NGOs were able to get share from lawmakers’ Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF), commonly known as pork barrel.

Lawmakers charged by the NBI unjustly enriched themselves by receiving 40 percent to 60 percent of the cash value of various PDAF-funded projects. Enrile, Revilla and Estrada received P172.8 million, P224.5 million and P183.7 million, respectively, in commissions, rebates, or kickbacks from fake or dubious non-government organizations (NGO) linked to Napoles.

Let me add, KULANG PA YAN! Marami pang tulisan na hindi pa natutuklasan! May araw din kayo!
